Tea Haul from Waynesville!

Hello friends,

Yesterday mother and I went shopping in Waynesville, Ohio. The weather was great and we were able to find several awesome things. While we were browsing through the antique shops, we found a tea section in Cheap John's. Naturally we had to buy a couple teas to try! Mother picked out Downton Abbey Mrs. Patmore's Pudding Tea and Cuppa Cake Teas Lemon Chiffon. I decided on Downton Abbey English Rosh Tea. The fact that we are huge Downton Abbey fans definitely biased our decision! Keep your eyes peeled for some reviews on them later this month as I am super excited to try them!

Tea Time Decoration

Hello Everyone,

I simply love to look and shop for teapots.  I have made quite a collection over the last few years and love to decorate and use them whenever possible.  I am always scouting thrift stores and magazines for new ideas.  Imagine my delight when I found a feature of a tea set in Tea Time Magazine for the March/April 2015 edition that is similar to one I already own.  Not only is this encouraging and inspiring, but the colorful blooms in this chintz-patterned tea set is a reminder that warmer weather is upon us.  How sweet to know that we can start to celebrate spring and summer with a little outside tea in the garden. How will you celebrate? Comment below!

God Bless!

Nighttime Tea | Amarissa Woods Review

Hello Everyone,

If you’re like me, your day has been filled with work, chores, and the daily grind of life.  Finding the time and resources to calmly relax before rushing to bed so you can restart all over again tomorrow can be quite the challenge.  We have found a wonderful treasure in the art of folding the day away with Chamomile tea.  Chamomile tea has been used for hundreds of years as a successful sleep aid.  This tea has a vareity of other uses also, such as, stomach soother, menstrual cramps, hemorrhoid help, cold fighter, and wound healer.  It's a definite need as anyone's common household item.

We tried some Chamomile tea from Amarissa Woods last night.  Amarissa Woods is a local vender in our area and a friend of the family.  The blend we tried is called the Honey and Harvest Calming Blend that can be found on their website under Loose Tea Leaves: www.amarissawoods.com

We used our glassed teapot and infuser for loose tea.  It was very easy and not at all time consumming to get everything together after chores and before bed.  The package recommends a water temperature of 195 degrees and calls for 1.5 tsp of loose tea per 8 oz. of water. The package also recommends steeping the tea for around 3-4 minutes.

This tea was well worth it!  It had a wonderful sweet flowery and honey taste.  In just the time it took me to sit and sip on this tea, I could already feel its soothing and relaxing qualities.  This will definitely be something I add into my nightly routine.  Life is too hard not to take time out to enjoy and relax when you can!
