Today is the 101st Mother's Day in the U.S.! With the First Lady celebrating Mother's Day with their annual afternoon tea, we decided to follow suit. It is a wonderful way to show how grateful you are and much you care about your mother. Having the privilege and honor to sit and sip on good tea and enjoy your mothers company is a definite pleasure to put on any daughters to do list. Together my daughter and I were able to put this together with not much effort at all. Anyone can put together a simple tea party by using resources you already have. It can be as simple as using left over Birthday party items and throw pillows to accent the area. However, it can be as elaborate as a full scale tea party. What is great about holidays such as Mother's Day, is that there is no set standard. Whatever you decide to put together for your mother she will undoubtedly love and cherish. We planned to sit around the table using pillows to sit on, making it a laid back occasion. Here is how everything turned out. Let us know how you celebrated your Mother's Day this year!
